Charlotte Pop Swap

Saturday Oct 25th I will be set up at Heroes Aren't Hard to Find's store for their Pop Swap event.  As many times as I have been to Heroescon since the late 80s, I have never been inside their store.  Kinda weird.  As always looking forward to having a fun day.  Hope to see lots of people.

Anyone who says the secret phrase "The Funk of Forty Thousand Years" will get a prize.

Roanoke trip

I had a great show at Roanoke followed by a nice visit with my Mom and cousin this weekend.  A little tired, but a good comic book show always keeps me going for a while.  Roanoke has consistently been one of my best one day shows.  Its a long trip but always worth it.

creative, somewhat productive, but a bit down

That describes me as well as anything right now.  I have done some pages, some single pics that I may make prints of, and I have a con in Roanoke VA on Oct 18th.  Still a bit down.  I'm not getting as much done as I would like, and I am having some rough times at work (the day job).  I really treasure the time working on Intermezzo, or any art, but I've never been able to do it full time.  Think how much I could do with 8 hours a day of drawing time.  I think I could actually have a monthly book.  Wow, that boggles the mind.

Greenville

Had a big day at Nostalgia Newsstand's comic convention in Greenville, NC today.  One of my biggest 1 day shows ever.  Lots of fun, lots of people.

Greenville, NC convention

I love going to Greenville for a con.  I still go to Greenville a lot, it is where I go to get comics since the local shop in Wilson closed, and it is where I went to college, so it is almost like a hometown for me.  So I love going and showing my art and comics.  Saturday, Sept 27th.  Will be awesome.

Post show

So Winston Salem Comic Con was fun, sold a few comics, some framed prints, and I got to bring out my 14 foot high Bear Butt Comics sign.  Afterwards I went to visit my mom and my favorite cousin.  It was long and I feel a bit tired, but I am very glad I went.

I had someone ask me if I was the person with the secret phrase.  She couldn't remember what it was, but still.  I gave her a prize anyway.

Finally, a convention

Winston Salem Comic con is this Saturday.  It has been too long for me.  I have done several shows in Winston Salem but this is the first I've been to put on by Burke St Comics.  I am so looking forward to this.

My day job is weighing heavy on me lately, it is always good to get to a convention but now especially.

Anyone who sees this give me the secret phrase "A couch!" and get a prize.
